Christopher Ward C9 Jumping Hour Mk2 Limited Edition (Original Prototype)

It's fair to say the original C9 Jumping Hour is one of Christopher Ward's most collectable and iconic watches - its 200 pieces sold out almost immediately and it paved the way for the Mk2 Limited Edition, a host of Mk3 (non limited) variants and the most recent in the Jumping Hour line, the C1 Grand Malvern Jumping Hour - currently available on the Christopher Ward website at £1,400.

The watch in this listing is a rare 'archive find'. It is the original prototype for the Mk2 Jumping Hour and as such, features no serial number on the rear case. It was sold as part of an archive clearance in April 2017 and therefore the movement warranty is valid until April 2022.

Because the Mk2 Jumping Hour sold out several years ago, CW no longer has any hard copies of the user manual available. So instead of the manual it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and covering letter directing you to this PDF version: https://www.christopherward.co.uk/media/manuals/c9jhmk2_manual.pdf

This watch is in brand new, never worn condition. Supplied on the correct embossed black leather strap with Bader clasp. Presented in the optional extra deluxe wooden presentation case. Please note there is a split in the outer cardboard box.

The original selling price of this watch was £1,000, so this is your chance to grab a rare piece of CW history at a bargain price.
