Christopher Ward C70 DBR1 COSC Chronometer Limited Edition - one of 300 made.

It's fair to say the C70 DBR1 is one of if not the most desirable and collectable watches Christopher Ward has ever made. This is a rare watch which has not been available from Christopher Ward for many years.

After the success of the original eight-model C70 Grand Prix watch series (you can read about that here https://www.christopherward.co.uk/media/manuals/c70_manual.pdf), Christopher Ward released two Limited Edition COSC certified versions featuring the upgraded ETA 251.232 COSC calibre and the addition of "CHRONOMETER" wording on the watch face. They did a 200 piece run of the C70 GB COSC and a 300 piece run of C70 DBR1 COSC model - which is the one for sale here.

It is a March 2012 watch which has only rarely been worn - as is demonstrated by the fantastic condition. The only mark I can see is a tiny blemish just after 10 on the edge of the bezel - although under magnified inspection you may find other signs of use. As shown in the pictures, the leather strap with Bader clasp is in superb condition.

As you can probably tell from the price, this isn't a watch that I'm in a mad rush to sell, so no silly offers please as I'd rather keep it than let it go for less than I think it's worth. But if you like the idea of adding a highly desirable and almost new condition DBR1 COSC to your collection, the opportunity is there.

Supplied in deluxe wooden CW case with correct green internals and engraved C70 DBR1 COSC badge. Also includes COSC certificate, unused polishing cloth, original purchase receipt and covering letter from CW.
